you see my face everyday
smiling
laughing...
but looks are deceiving

i am not what i appear
i hope that you will never
see my tears

what i want
you cannot give me
not now

I've written poems during my sad high school days. Haha, they're kinda depressing, but that was then....I'll go dig some up...

I found one of my old poems. Time for show and tell!:

Lay down on the floor

I couldn’t take it anymore
So I’m here on the floor.
Laying and wallowing
Helpless and wreckless.

I couldn’t take it anymore
So I’m here on the floor
Wishing and feeling
Helpless and wreckless.

Why can’t they leave me alone?
I don’t want to be shown
How to life my life
Let me live it the way I want to live it.
Let me make mistakes the way fate intends it.

Should I stay on the floor?
Or get up and fight some more?
Fight for a smile.
Fight for a reason.

I want to cry
Till my eyes
Are too dry
To continue.
But I
Should stay strong, I
Should keep going on, I
Keep telling myself
I
Keep drying my eyes
I
Don’t know how many times
It takes oneself
To reassure oneself
That you need to keep
Helping oneself
Find oneself
Never stop proving oneself
Keep alive the pride in oneself
Keep telling yourself
Not to lower yourself
To their expectations
You’ll find realizations
That those conversations
Are too many times complications
Within complications
Stop listening to their explanations
Its in their imaginations
That you’ll follow their manipulations.

All they want is control of your life
You have to fight
To live your own life.
You’ll know the signs from all the warning lights
They’ll guide you
Not hide you
Not push you aside or ignore you.

Sticks and stones
May break my bones
But their yells
Spells like harsh tones
That wants control.

So maybe I will get up off the floor.
Mayby I will fight some more.

What will you stand for?
What will you ask for?
What will you fight for?
Today?
Tomorrow?
The next day in sorrow?
The next day in hope?
Grab hold
Of those
Victories
You will see.
Hold on for dear life
Before they grab them away.
Stand up and remember
Through each passing day
The purpose of living
Of fighting
Of crying.
They’re good for the soul
And will only make you braver
And stronger
A little bit more
Than the day before.

heres one i just wrote
unsure of her surroundings
feeling so lost
she couldn't have stayed
afraid of the cost

running through the woods
running out of air
she thought she could escape it
those feelings quickly disappeared

she thought she saw him
watching from her side
she ran and ran
but he followed behind

she tripped and fell
falling to the ground
she saw her life flash before her
as she fell into hell
